Replaced battery (myself) since there is a logic board attached to the battery I figured it may have something to do with that. Decided it may be something with the battery since it seemed to have some odd charge percentages when disconnecting the charging cable. If the laptop turned off it would not turn back on unless the same previous procedure was done. After this the laptop rebooted right away, no wait time, totally normal operation. Disconnected battery data cable, unplugged charging cable and held down power button for 10 seconds+. I opened up the laptop just to poke around and noticed that the fans would spin when turning on the laptop. (Resetting SMC etc.) They said we had to bring it in for anything further.

Wife got on apple support and they walked through a few steps, all of which assumed the computer was responsive in any way. Few weeks later would not boot no mater how long you waited. Starting taking 30+ mins to boot. (Completely normal operation while in use) Noticed that storage was very full, cleared off a lot so that at least 50GB was available. Laptop started taking 10-15 mins to boot (nothing displaying on screen, no apple logo, it would just turn on 10mins after pressing power button) (Completely normal operation while in use) If this isn't a good forum to post this type of issue please post any recommendations of where a better place to discuss the issue would be. My wife's laptop started having issues and I have hit a wall with what to try next.
